HWPL: Peace movement in Australia which transcend races and religion calls for peace

With unstable world situation and growing desire for peace and security, peace movement in Australia during the first half of 2016 which transcend races and religion were more active than ever. Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) focuses on two kinds of peace activities: World Alliance of Religions Peace (WARP) offices and the Legislate Peace Campaign.

First of all, WARP offices are the gathering of various religious leaders who find out answers from their Scriptures for various questions and compare them. More than 30 WARP office events were held in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane since 2015, which 54 religious leaders have taken part in. Dr. Arsalan Falarti of Brisbane Sufi Community of Queensland who joined the 8th Brisbane WARP office said “this meeting is a good opportunity to understand common ground among the religions. Many religious leaders especially who have come here are closely related to the point that they want peace,” showing the will to stand for the peace movement.

In addition, HWPL has run the Legislate Peace Campaign in order to let all people know the necessity of establishing international law. The Proclamation Ceremony of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) was held on 14 March this year which aims to remove all potentials that cause war conflicts all over the world. Activities to support this movement have proceeded during the next 2 months. On 29 May, about 100 citizens participated in the peace walk event in Hyde Park, Sydney. One participant said “it is not just one of events. This kind of peace event has to be spread all over the world.”

According to one of HWPL staff members, the Legislate Peace Campaign led by the youth and women groups was actively opened in about 150 countries. Not only individuals have signed their support the DCPW but also world leaders have sent official letters to HWPL to join it. Other than that, HWPL has pioneered various peace activities including peace monuments and peace education seminars. Many people are paying attention to the great peace achievements around the world that will happen in the second half of this year.
