-HWPL: Religious Experts Meet in the Holy Land to Seek Understanding and Harmony
Ceaseless efforts by religions from different faiths seek peace based on understanding in Palestine. On January 18th, the 9th Palestine WARP Office meeting was held by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) in the Melkite Greek Catholic Church located in the Holy Land, a historical place to Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. 4 religious experts from Christianity and Islam gathered together to enhance communication based on religious understanding and seek their practical actions for peace. In addition, there was an audience of 2 people who voluntarily participated in the meeting.
With the topic Good and Evil, the experts discussed the similarities and differences in the records of the scriptures. The questions for discussion include :Is a scripture acceptable even if it doesnt provide a solution to the problem of evil?, If the scripture is able to identify the root cause of good and evil, why is evil yet to be solved in this world?, and Is there a record of a case where evil was solved in your scripture? What is the evidence?
Mufti Abdelmaid al Amarneh who has continuously participated in the WARP Office meetings commented, "We came to understand the root cause of good and evil through the meeting. God wants to guide us to paradise after life and it is depending upon what deed we did here regardless of religion. We should be faithful in the Holy Book. And Rafael from Holland, one member of the audience said, "It was precious experience to hear from different religious leaders and the topic was quite interesting."
WARP Offices are revitalizing interfaith dialogues with comparing respective religious scriptures to find the true nature of humanity in pursuit of peace so that religions based on the spirit of peace become the bridge builders of peace-building in the global community. Currently, HWPL has founded 203 WARP Offices in 111 countries since 2014. They are actively promoting communication among religions as a way to conflict resolution, followed by the next WARP Office in Jerusalem on 23rd of this month with the theme of ood and Evil.
