HWPL:Opening up a New Chapter for Coexistence and Reconciliation above Religions and nations in Lebanon

Figures of Various Levels of Society gather at the 1st WARP Office Meeting hosted by HWPL

Saida, Lebanon- The first World Alliance of Religious for Peace (WARP) office for world peace held at Saida- Lebanon , which is located along the shore of Mediterranean, on January 27th. Mohammead Abou Zaid (Islam Sunni), the president of Saida Sunni Court, Father Sasseen Gregoire of St George Church, Mother Superior Fadia Laham dite of St James the Mutilated monastery, Su Bae (Christianity), a researcher of religious scripture got together by Skype  at ‘Saida   public library’ to have interfaith dialogue hosted by Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light(HWPL), an international peace group in South Korea represented by Miss Kristy Jeon( Research and Peace Leader ), and speaker Dr Peter Bae(Pastor and Research Specialist ),  and peace experts from Seoul

Religious leaders, youth and press  took part in this WARP office. The venue was provided by ‘Blue Mission’ Headed by Mrs Sanaa Bizri, a youth organization, and the meeting had a good start as 20 young people attended.

Also HWPL’s honorary ambassador Ghassan Zaatari, the director of Sidonia News attended and heated the atmosphere. Also Jarrah Scout leader Marwan Habli , and consultant Mr Nader Orr  attended also the meeting >

Lebanon is a country where Muslims, Christians and religious minorities coexist, unlike some other Midwestern countries. The WARP office in Lebanon with people from all walks of life attended proves that they all had eagerness for peace.

At this first WARP Office in Saida had the title as ‘peace in each scripture of each religion’ and the participants presented true meaning of peace based on their own scriptures in comparing and contrasting scriptures.

At the followed OX discussion session, they had time to compare each scripture by lifting O or X panel for five questions such as ‘Do you think peace can be achieved just by good deeds?’, ‘Does your scripture mention what peace is?’, ‘Do you agree that the religion can bring peace into this world?’.

WARP office is a dialogue for interfaith harmony suggested by Chairman Man Hee Lee, who hosted World Alliance of Religions for Peace summit in Seoul in Sept. 2014, as an answer of peace. For about one year after the summit, WARP office has been steadily held all over the world and currently underway in 117 offices in 61 countries including Middle East such as Bahrain, UAE and Lebanon. This dialogue is to foster peace as the participants share deeper understanding in doctrines and teaching of other religions and prevent conflicts and disputes caused by religious misunderstanding.

In addition, youth and women groups cooperate to in peace walk and urging implementation of international convention on cessation of wars and armed conflicts. A lot of people around the world move forward for peace not being limited to certain countries or particular religions and races and this is why HWPL’s

movement is even more noteworthy
